The Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service is seeking dedicated and skilled Registered Nurses (RN Nurse Grade 5) to support our dynamic healthcare team on a contract basis.
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in emergency settings
- Perform triage, resuscitation, and ventilation as required
- Administer advanced life support and paediatric advanced life support
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Advanced Life Support certification
- Paediatric Advanced Life Support certification
- Emergency skills (essential)
- Triage, ventilation, and resuscitation skills (highly desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment
- A reliable and current AHPRA registration (expiry 2026)
- A current Australian National Police Check (valid for 3 years)
- Mandatory immunisations: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hep B, and Pertussis (dated within the last 10 years)
- A current resume that experience not older than one year
- References including one from a line manager within the last 6 months and one from a referee higher than the candidate's grade within the last 12 months
- Photo Identification (valid passport or driver’s license)
- Operation Hours: 24/7 across all shifts
- Shift Agreement: Must agree to an 8-hour shift break
- Shared accommodation will be provided (not always guaranteed on-site).
- A domestic travel allowance of $200 (incl. GST) for travel costs for the start and completion of the contract provided that valid tax receipts are submitted.
- All travel expenses must be approved in advance by CQHHS.
Candidates must complete annual and biennial training as specified, including but not limited to Basic Life Support, Child Abuse and Neglect training, Cultural Awareness, Infection Control, and Medication Safety.
