Are you a dedicated RN Nurse Grade 5 looking for a rewarding contract opportunity? The Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service is seeking skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses with emergency skills to join our dynamic team during the critical period from June to July 2025.

  • Provide advanced nursing care within a fast-paced emergency environment
  • Perform triage and assess patient needs effectively
  • Administer Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Conduct resuscitation and ventilation procedures
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
  • Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Demonstrated emergency skills
  • Triage experience (highly desirable)
  • Ventilation experience (highly desirable)
  • Resuscitation experience (highly desirable)

  • No on-call duties
  • No driver’s license required
  • General National Police Check required

  • Travel: Reimbursement for travel costs up to $200 (including GST) each way for commencement and completion of the contract, subject to approval.
  • Accommodation: Shared accommodation is provided but may not always be guaranteed on-site.

Candidates must submit the following documentation:

  1. Current Resume: Work experience should be from the last year.
  2. References:
  • One from a line manager (within the last 6 months)
  • One from a referee who is a nurse at a higher grade level (within the last 12 months)
  1. Photo ID: Current passport or driver’s license (expired IDs not accepted)
  2. Current AHPRA Registration: Valid until 2026
  3. Australian National Police Check: Must be current and valid for 3 years
  4. Immunisation Records: Include vaccinations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B, and Pertussis (within the last 10 years).

Candidates must complete required annual and bi-annual training prior to the commencement of the contract, including Basic Life Support, Child Abuse & Neglect Training, and Infection Prevention & Control.
